Brief Work History:

Max worked on plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) synthesis methods for single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) with Professor Moonsub Shim at University of Illinois. He also performed TEM investigations of the growth modes of nanotubes with Professor Jian-min Zuo. His Master's work entailed stand-off detection of explosive materials via Differential Reflectometry (DR) with Professor Rolf Hummel. His doctorate research is focused on novel synthesis methods for producing high-quality, large-area graphene sheets for integrated circuits and fundamental physics research. Max is also working on the commercialization of the stand-off explosives detection technique for airport security applications.
